Urgent. Is this bad? I’m honestly pissed

I’m a dog walker and left to go walk a dog. I left my 10 MONTH OLD son in my moms care for 40 minutes. I come back and he’s fucking eating a caramel Milky Way with the wrapper still on!!!! He bit threw the wrapper and managed to eat half of the milky way. I’m literally so heated because not only is it a choking hazard and something could’ve happened, but the fact she let it happen as she was sitting right behind him!!!
Is he okay ?? It didn’t have nuts but the wrapper said may contain peanuts and nuts and I’m pretty sure it’s made in a peanut factory?

I mean not ideal and I wouldn't let my mom watch him again anytime soon but he should be fine if he is good now. Unless he has a diagnosed peanut allergy everything should be good but yea I would be livid too.

Unless you have nut allergies in your family, that's really not the problem here. The bigger thing is you're mom's letting your 10 month old have candy when you don't want him having it. There's no reason for an infant to be given candy. (I get she may not have handed it to him but she's supposed to be supervising.

I mean honestly a 10 month old can eat that but obviously not the wrapper just keep a eye and make sure he didn’t eat and if the wrapper and if he did then make sure he passes it. The candy it’s self doesn’t worry me one bit . I’ve got 3 kids and they all had candy in moderation at that age

I’m not sure I’d be that upset. At 10 months it’s not like he was wondering around and found it like she wasn’t watching him. She probably gave it to him bc the wrapper makes noise and can provide as a distraction or even mental stimulation. It’s just chocolate and Carmel, no nuts so. Idk. Not a big deal in my eyes.

I got mad at my mom for giving my first child an Oreo when she was like 8 months. I have since had another kid and my first child is almost 6 years old at this point. Looking back, I completely overreacted and was overbearing. Loosen the reigns a bit. If it bothers you that much, find a babysitter and pay them to watch your baby.

I mean eating the wrapper isn’t great, but he should be able to pass it. He will be fine. My sister fed my son reeses pb cups at that age abs forgot to take the wrapper off them and he ate most of it before she realized she hadn’t taken it off. He’s now two and just fine

Also says it may contain nuts bc they are a brand that makes products in their factors that contains nuts so in turn they have to put that on all wrappers just Incase some wierd incident happens and some one has a allergy
