I heard you can “mute” people on her, like in the comments is that true?

I commented on a post and when I click on my profile I see my comment there but when I click on the post my comment is gone. I replied to someone else’s comment btw. I can’t even see the comment I replied to, but I can see on my profile that I got an upvote on it. I not mad about it just confused, what happened?

Yeah so you can mute people. So if I muted you, I’d no longer be able to see this post in the “new” section or by group. But I’ll still be able to get to the post through my own profile and comment history. If someone you muted, or had muted you, it will hide their posts and comments. But there’s a glitch in it. So if you they comment in a comment thread, you can see that they commented, but once you tap on the thread, it will disappear. And that’s also if someone has them tagged in a comment.

Many people are abusing the mute feature. It’s creating an echo chamber and dividing groups of people. One in particular is extremely hateful, racist, and sexist. We can’t do anything about it. I think yesterday or the day before, an admin posted that they are aware and working things out to fix the issues.
