Are Isabelle and Elizabeth basically the same name?

My husband says if we have two daughters down the road they can have these names, but I feel like they are the same name just in Spanish and English!

Technically they are as Isabelle comes from Elizabeth but now says I'm not sure any one would notice or care about that. They sounds like different names.
