TW: potential abuse i’m not sure advice pls

my boyfriend & i were having an argument while in bed after i was telling him how he had hurt my feelings & it was getting too heated so i got up to walk away so it wouldn’t escalate. he was telling me that i was wrong & he hadn’t done anything wrong, etc. he sat up quickly & put his finger in my face & i told him to get his finger out of my face. he then put his hand on my wrist & i pulled back & told him not to touch me. i started to walk away & he grabbed me by the back of my head & pulled me back. he immediately let go & i turned around, smacked him, & got in his face & told him never to touch me again. he immediately apologized & told me there was no excuse for it. i don’t know what to do. i don’t know if this is abuse. it obviously sounds like it but i just don’t know. i don’t know what to do or anything. please someone give me advice, i get it’s my relationship & you don’t know everything about it but i’m so distraught.
