Newborn pictures 💙

These pictures right here. I asked our photographer if we could include my Dad’s Bible in son’s pictures in some way. This Bible is 33 years old. It was given to my parents on their wedding day, was the Bible that my dad preached out of, and was used as a part of my wedding.

We were trying to get the verse “For this child, I have prayed. And the Lord has given me the desires of my heart.”, but while looking at these pictures, I noticed something else. My dad always wrote notes in his Bible. In the top corner, he wrote “because she had been blessed”.

I have missed my dad, especially coming up on his birthday and the holiday season. He’s been gone for just over six months. However, taking these pictures made me feel like he was close. I know that he would have been so in love with this little boy.

I know that my life is more full today than ever before... “because she had been blessed”.
