Would you be upset if your parents didn't visit their grandkids?

They always have some sort of excuse why they can't come visit...l just had a baby 7 weeks ago and they have no plans of visiting...even for the holidays. Yet they are going on a 18 hour road trip for a week to visit friends. We live 9 hours away by car. I'm 21 and could use my moms support or at least interest. I have heart surgery next week so asked her if they could help out with the kids but she said no...to be honest my mom would love to visit but she is controlled by my dad who won't let her.
