Vanishing twin

I am so devastated right now. My husband and I went to my first ultrasound appointment. We found out that we were pregnant with twins but unfortunately one of them didn’t make it. It stopped growing at six weeks and there was no fetal heartbeat. We are so sad and happy at the same time. Sad we lost our other baby but happy that our other baby looks like they are growing and heart rate was strong. My emotions have been all over the place. Has anyone else experienced vanishing twin syndrome? Does it get easier to deal with over time?
