Why does my urine smell sweet?

Why does my urine have a sweet smell to it when I'm on my period? I'm on the pill and anti-depressants. I notice everytime I go to the loo because it's such a strong smell. But definitely not an off putting smell. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sometimes I have that, but its not because I have diabetes. I actually like the smell when its like that. But I rarely have that happen to me.

Even if it's only during your period you should still see your doctor about it, it might be a clue that you may develop gestational diabetes during pregnancy, which can become dangerous. Knowledge is power! If you find there is a problem its good to know so you can fix it. If no problem, even better!
