Overwhelmed by Car seats

How did you decide what car seat was right , I’ve been reading so many reviews and specifications and feel so overwhelmed!!! 
Looking for an affordable and safe car seat my baby can grow into.. Any advice

I found my car seat where price meets smaller size. My husband’s car is tiny so I knew we needed something on the smaller side and I didn’t want to spend a whole lot. We have 4 of these and love them.

We just upgraded from the bucket seat. My husband and I went to the store and looked at them, felt them, played around with them a bit. We narrowed it down to 2. Then I looked online to see what deals I could find for those. All car seats have to meat the same safety standards so it comes down to what you like and how much you want to spend.

I had a few specifications I was looking for, like shallow depth since we are both tall, greenguard certified fabrics, not graco, and 50lb rear facing limit. I went to our local baby store and let them know what I needed, they came up with some options, and we tried them for fit in my car. I ended up with a foonf, and a rava was our close runner up.

I love my safety 1st car seats. I have 2 convertible seats and an infant seat that came with the travel system.

We started with the chicco KeyFit 30 because the ease of taking the seat with us when out and going to and from the car. We then chose the One4Life due to the longevity, machine washable fabric, easy install, dishwasher safe cup holders. Factors to consider are children should rear face until 4yrs old so a high rear facing weight limit, as well as considering the amount of space in the back seat and where in the car the seat will be installed.
