First dates awkward ?

Is it normal to feel really awkward when dating people for the first time? I feel like there are so many awkward moments of silence and I can’t think of anything to say. Idk if it because my nervous or we just don’t have anything in common. Like we will have one thing to talk about but then won’t know what else to talk about. Is this normal or are these signs that it’s not going to work with someone?

I think it’s normal cause when I met my partner it was so awkward that I didn’t think we would have anything in common he was silent while I do the talking 😁 trust me never judge a book by the cover I thank God I didn’t run away especially that time of my life I was so done with guys..I could tell u is the most playful,free kind spirit person I have ever met and he is my best friend..so give him time if u don’t have anything to talk about tell him to tell u stuff he experience when he travel

I think it is normal, cos I feel that with ppl all the time .... But when I met my partner it felt so easy and we just clicked straight away. Never felt bored etc. Didn't always need to talk, just enjoyed hanging out with him.
