Endo stage 4

After years and years of continuously being blown off by (mostly male doctors)

After having surgery for a football sized ovarian cyst. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis.

I have had terrible heavy periods and pain since I was 11.

No one ever took it seriously.

Being diagnosed now and having it get so bad and to that point makes me so angry.

The response I had repeatedly gotten such as it’s a cyst the pain shouldn’t be that bad it will pop on it’s own.

It’s just so frustrating and it makes me so angry to see how many other women are going through this or have gone through this where their pain hasn’t felt validated by doctors.

I’m only 27 I don’t want to have a hysterectomy. I’ve been trying to do some research on it and I am waiting on an appointment with a specialist to see what the next step is but I would love some input from other women who have also experienced this.

Did anyone else have a problem with doctors blowing them off about it?

Also any kind of advice on how to deal and what to expect would be greatly appreciated. ❤️
