Hormonal IUD

I got the IUD put in, in August 2020. I was told I would bleed for a month or so and I might have a period, but it would slowly become lighter and lighter. My periods were never super bad, but every since I had the IUD put in, my cramps are AWFUL for about 2 weeks before I start, my period is a lot heavier, and it last longer than 7 days. Everyone else that I have talked to that has the IUD, has not had this problem. I try to avoid going to the doctor because I don’t want to be a bother. 😅 So Just curious if anyone else has had these issues, or if I need to get over myself and talk to my doctor?
