First appt? 😭

I just found out I was pregnant on Thursday so i’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow according to my last period. I called my OB and the first “appt” will be over the phone on Dec 2nd and then after that I will get scheduled for my first in person visit. Is anyone else in this boat? I feel like that wait is so long with my anxious brain 😭

My first appointment is dec8 and time couldn’t go fast enough!

My doc won't see me until 12 WEEKS!! 😭😭😭 I can't wait that long for confirmation!! GAHH!! Jan 6th is waaaayy too far away!!

It must depend on the doc. 
I had a chemical last month so instead of immediately booking and Appmt I messaged my OB thru the portal and told her my last LMP and my DPO and asked when she would want to see me and she wants me in before the 8 week mark for US and initial bloodwork

Same boat. First appt at 10 weeks dec 28th. Reassuring I’m not the only one going in so late!! I wish I could get a serum hcg to confirm high levels

My first Appt is nov 23rd and I just found out it’s informational then at that Appt they will have me schedule the ultrasound.

It’s common for doctors to wait until you’re 8-12weeks for your appointment. The first apt. is usually mostly questions which is probably why they opt to do that over the phone with the current situation. As far as checking your body, doing ultrasounds, etc. there’s really nothing to see until you’re a little further along.

I think we are all in that boat right now. Its all information about your health and stuff like that thats why its over the phone
