Gender shock!

Jennifer • Hello, my name is Jen. I will be 35 in January and due with baby #4 in May 2021. My oldest son is 14, our daughter will be 5, and our youngest son will be 3 when baby boy arrives.

Hey y’all, I hope everyone’s pregnancies are going great so far.

So I had the NIPT test done last Tuesday. I also had the Nuchal Translucency US but it was inconclusive due to babies position. I got the call today the my results were in and baby is low risk for everything. This is my 4th baby but the first time I’m doing these tests. I’ll be 35 when I deliver, I’m type 1 diabetic and my mom and granny both started having high blood pressure at this age. So we were really doing the test to check on risk of heart defect.

Anyway, I have 2 boys and 1 girl between them. With my boys I was insanely sick, first with hyperemesis. My girl I was nauseous and had food aversions but only got sick once from brushing my teeth. With this pregnancy EVERYTHING was the same as with my daughter. My mom and my husbands parents both “knew” we were pregnant. They guessed it. They did the same with our daughter. The way I felt I SWORE up and down this baby was going to be a girl. So when I got the call today and they told me boy I was in complete shock. Not to mention I was right about the gender of my other 3 kids all along. I’m not disappointed about having a boy at all but since this is my last baby and I swore it was a girl we had a name picked out in honor of my Granny. I’m really disappointed that I won’t get to use the name that I’m in love with but instead we will be using a name to honor my grandpa (dad’s dad) who died of Alzheimer’s on Jan 1,2005 @1:30am. I remember the day he forgot who I was and it was heart wrenching.

Either way I’m happy I get to honor one of them, but I absolutely adored our girls name.

Excited for our third boy 😍💙
