TTC after csection..

Little back story first..

My partner and I had been trying for what seemed like a lifetime to fall pregnant, then when we did in 2018 we miscarried.. after that I was told I have severe pcos and wouldn’t be able to have children & it would be a miracle if I did.: but nonetheless we pushed on with fertility appts and did everything in our power to keep persevering. 9/10 months after the miscarriage we gave up, we had finally admitted defeat after months of getting our hopes up that it could be “the month” it never was..

Well... the same month we decided to give up and forget about it we fell pregnant! 🥰 I had a very straight forward pregnancy apart from towards the end there was reduced movement.. 3 times!

I was 41weeks when I went into my local maternity unit for another reduced movement. Because I was a week over they took no time in inducing me.. and it’s safe to say he had no intentions of coming and after 16hours labour on a drip, they decided to take me down for an emergency csection as his heart rate was dropping..

He was born at 8:06 and was the most chilled happiest baby I’ve ever come across..

He’s now 8weeks old and today I’ve had my 6-8week follow up appointment and there we discussed birth control..

(Bare in mind I only bled for 7 days after birth and I’ve already had my first period that lasted 4 days)

I explained our hardships of getting pregnant to my dr and the nurse and explained how my PCOS doesn’t agree with birth control as I gain weight rapidly even while dieting and didn’t want this to be an added factor to go against us when it come to TTC again.. I informed them we 100% want another so the PCOS, the years we tried before, the miscarriage was already enough against us I didn’t want my weight to be against me or my hormones all messed up..

We took some tests whilst I was there and they said normally they advise at least a 6month wait before TTC however due to my circumstances before hand this would be the best time for me TTC (if I feel ok in myself to do so! And only when I feel ready) as the body is highly fertile.. they said they would just monitor me more closely if they felt they needed to.

So getting round to the real question, how long did it take you to fall pregnant after birth?
