Any moms pumped but didn’t breastfeed?

Please give me tips, advice and really any input!! Good and bad!!

I did for the first month after my son was born, & then switched to EBF. Then around 6 months started again bc I was worried my son wasn’t gaining enough weight & I wanted to keep track, & also so someone else is able to feed him if I need. I typically nurse if he wakes up before 7am, & then pump & bottle feed the rest of the day. It works for us!

I did! I did it because my LO had latch issues, and I got mastitis. It is more work, but so worth it. I love still being able to give her the nutrition she needs, but I can also have help if need be. I miss actually breastfeeding through at the same time. Lol

I asked my nurse about this and she said she doesn’t see the point (unless baby has latch issues or something serious obviously) because ur just doubling your work, having to pump and then still feed the baby after. Versus just nursing and having it done in one sitting. I am a sahm so I just went ahead and nursed. I did pump a few times and absolutely hated it lol but if ur going to exclusively pump there are definitely things that can make it more convenient(hands free options, pumping bras, etc).

I didn’t but it isn’t uncommon . Just make sure your consistently pumping on a schedule or when you feel full so you can keep your production up! I would pump when ever you feed as well but I nursed andnphmped
