I'm due May 30th and I asked my Dr at the last appt if we could do the 20 week ultrasound a couple of weeks early (before X-mas) because it would be nice to be able to do a gender reveal with family around.  She said that they don't recommend because the real reasons for the 20 week ultrasound (to check all of the organs) may not show up and that more important which I agree with entirely. The nurse said I could talk to the ultrasound techs directly when I go in for my 16 week appt (12/18) and they might be willing to do it.  I also just found a couple private places that do it around here charging $60-75 for gender and some extra pictures.  Has anyone done this/are you going to do it? Any opinions?
