Hormonal acne

Starting in doxycycline and spirolactone hoping for great results. Has anyone tried???

Hi,
I would recommend you to try dim plus first  (diindolylmethane).its a supplement helps regulating hormonal acne.atleast it has helped it make them almost go away. Do your research and see if it helps rather than taking antibiotics.

Ok so I take the combination of doxycycline and spironolactone for acne and I have had really good results! I take them twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, and over the course of about 6 months or so, my face and back have cleared up. I also use the differin gel at night after washing my face which really helps as well. My only problem with it is that it made my cycle irregular and it caused spotting throughout the month because I’m taking the highest dosage possible. Other than that though, the combination of the meds and the differin  has really helped clear my skin.

Ignore the recommendation. Doxycycline works but will stop working after a while or if you take it inconsistently. You’ll probably need to go back and get it upped

Doxy is good but can cause tummy upset the other one can cause dehydration. Honestly curology works amazing for me and it’s like 37 a month but I get extra products which I recommended to do the whole skin care plan. It’s face wash moisturizer and treatment RX. Apostrophe is great too hubby does that for his Anne but more pricy. Yaz can also help a lot if your cool with BC. ❤️

Seysara is a new tetracycline antibiotic which has done wonders fir my hormonal acne. Also aldactone is used off label for hormonal acne as it's an androgen blocker. I'm 41 and both have worked wonders when nothing topical worked.
