Is this normal?

So at exactly 5 weeks I had a blood test and my hcg levels were at 4180, which is within the normal range but my doctor said there won’t be another blood test for hcg. Is this normal? Because I thought you got your levels checked again 2-3 days later to make sure it’s doubling.

Yeh, normally you would but maybe some doctors don’t unless you have a history of complications?

In the UK the doctors don’t take a blood sample at all, the first official test is the 12 week ultrasound, we have an 8 week booking in appointment but they don’t confirm anything
