Thoughts on the doona stroller?

I did a lot of research on safe car seats and this one was one of the worst on the list. Maybe they have improved since then?

I have considered it but after months of weighting the pros and cons and comparing it to my lifestyle it’s not worth it or worth the price. Since Covid is still around and I’m working from home I don’t see myself using a car seat to often. So just having a stroller is fine for walks around the neighborhood. I don’t need to use public transportation or need the convenience of having the access for this or am I traveling by plane anytime soon which this is great for TSA or flight check ins. And to consider that once the baby out grows it I have to purchase a new car seat and stroller the price isn’t worth it.

I know 3 different people that have this car seat and absolutely love it! Don’t know anyone who does not like it. I will definitely be getting it as well!

My friend has one and complained it was very heavy to manage when she was alone with out the babies father.

It’s not a very safe seat compared to a lot of others and while the convenience of having the stroller attached seems great all I see it wet/ dirty wheels all over my seats in my car (you shouldn’t use seat protectors as it puts something between the car and car seat that can cause the car seat to not work properly in an accident) it’s heavy compared to a lot of other seats and the price is so high for what it offers in run of height and weight limits that it doesn’t seem worth it to me. I think they’re awesome but need to have a lot of progress before they should be as big as they are. Especially on the safety aspect (I mean that’s the reason we buy car seats isn’t it 🙂)

I’ve got one.. haven’t tried it out yet but super excited to. I’ve heard nothing but good things and we found a place to get it for $100 off plus family pitched in so we thought it was worth trying!
Also I’ve seen where they sell used for $350-400 so we’re hoping that we can get our money back once she’s outgrown it (of course as long as it’s been in no accidents and still in good condition)

I'm passing because the weight limit won't support baby for very long. I don't love the look of bob strollers but they seem to hold the heaviest weight so I'm going with a bob. My 5 year old still gets tired of walking and will want to use a stroller.

We have friends who had one and swore by it, so we were seriously considering it, but we have since changed our minds. We went to a baby store in town to try them out. My husband is 6’2” and I wanted to make sure the handle wasn’t too low for him. It is definitely not at a comfortable height for him. Also, the expert at the store explained that 1. There are a LOT of knock offs out there, so unless you bye it straight from Doona, you may not be getting the real thing. 2. Since it only fits an infant, you will not only need a new car seat, but also a new stroller very quickly!
It is still a great product, we just realized it was not the right one for us!
