Zofran for Morning sickness?

What was your experience with Zofran? I’ve been having really bad nausea and vomiting and my doctor prescribed me this, but I was reading it could cause some birth defects, etc. 
Give me all the opinions/experiences.

Research is the last 2 years shows that it doesn’t cause birth defects.  There is a small association with cleft palates that needs tobe researched more.  I took 8mg around the clock all 9 months with my first and 4mg around the clock all 9 months with my second.  It helped me be able to eat.

I took it my entire pregnancy in a pump in my stomach and pill form and had no issues. I couldn’t eat or drink without it it helped me so much
