Is it true that Hulu bases your advertises on what you search?

My bf just switched to a new shift and we’re on opposite schedules. Maybe I’m making something out of nothing but every since he switched he’s been deleting his search history even if I’m in the room. He deletes it before going to work or before I’ll be home alone.

Now we’re watching the together and he got an ad for eharmony which it’s his Hulu account. And we never got any ads like this since we started dating a year ago. It’s always those “generic ads” or cooking ads.

Could he be looking up dating sites?
