Refreeze milk?

Question

We thawed frozen breastmilk for daycare, but our daughter didn’t eat nearly as much as we expected. It was her first couple of days, so we weren’t sure how it would go. When she’s home, I prefer to nurse her. Since it’s the weekend, my options are to bottle feed with the thawed milk and pump or refreeze the milk and nurse. 
Can breastmilk be refrozen to be thawed later or do I have to toss it all (about 18 oz)?

You cannot refreeze breast milk. Once the breast milk is unthawed it has to be used or put in the fridge. If it is left out is is only good for 2 hours. If it was in the fridge it is good for 24 hours.

Nope you can refreeze it. Once you thaw it out and if they don’t take it once it’s thawed out you need to get rid of it. Even if you thaw it out or warm it out improperly you would need to get rid of it

I always refreeze unusable breast milk and save it for milk baths for my son. I just put it in a Tupperware in the freezer anytime he doesn’t finish a bottle or I take too much out. I guess it’s really good for their skin.

No. Nothing actually can be refrozen. Whatever food is already defrosted can not be refrozen in the same state it was before. But if you have like cfeozen chicken, you cook it, then you can freeze the dish, because you have changed the form of it.
