What can help PMDD

Question

So I have been struggling with PMDD for years now and just recently discovered it and talked to my gyno about it, I am currently on BC and he wants to put me on SSRIs (antidepressants). Has anyone had good results with these? I am hesitant about them because no one I know has had a good experience with antidepressants. 
Also if anyone would like to share anything that helps them with PMDD that would be greatly appreciated.

I was just recently diagnosed with PMDD. I don't take medication ever, even Tylenol. It has gotten so bad that I am starting Zoloft today out of desperation. Exercise, yoga, meditation have helped me a little with the severity of my mood swings all month but there is still 1 day out of the month where I 100% lose it and that episode leaves me depressed for a while and then the cycle starts all over. 2 weeks of trying to get over how horrible I felt, guilt from becoming a raging lunatic and then ovulation comes, luteal phase is here and the depression and irrational emotions come right back. CBD had helped me with the physical symptoms a bit. Last month my aches, pains, fatigue was not as bad (first month on CBD)! Then it hit me like a ton of bricks! I follow many #PMDD on social media and reading other women's stories helps, but unfortunately I haven't found anything to really help me month to month 😔. For me, PMDD is a devastating diagnosis. It is affecting my marriage and my sanity
