Am I considered high risk? LONG STORY (cross posted)
Okay, before I get started I’m asking for everyone to please be kind. I’m scared, nervous, and I don’t want any negativity to increase my stress please. I’m looking for guidance and positivity through this tough time.
I found out I was pregnant mid august but didn’t find out it was a pregnancy of unknown location until Sept. 1st. It was treated via methotrexate. It was devastating and I had to endure it all alone in the hospital due to covid protocols. Needless to say, my partner and I agreed we needed to heal from this so we took a break. We also knew that we couldn’t get pregnant within 3 months because of the methotrexate so that helped us agree on taking a break.
Well one (JUST ONE) drunken night in October, things got heated and now I’m 4 weeks pregnant. 🤦♀️
So now that it’s settled in knowing I’m pregnant, the fear has started to kick in. I know the risks for any abnormalities/disorders are higher due to the methotrexate depleting folic acid.
My ob knows and has already done beta’s to make sure the levels are rising normally and they’re perfect and I’ve also been taking 1000 mcg of folic acid. But would I still be considered high risk for any abnormalities? I was seen by MFM with my daughter, even though she was completely healthy, so I’m assuming I’ll see them again. Should I raise concern to them? Would you think this pregnancy will be taken more seriously (meaning they’ll do extra tests like NIPT?)
Also I know the chances of others going or have gone through this are slim because I know most would’ve been more responsible and not take the risk (things happen 😩) but anyone who has can you give me encouraging words that your pregnancy/baby ended up being healthy?
Thank you for reading if you’ve gotten this far. I appreciate it! Wishing everybody in this group a happy and healthy 9 months.❣️
