No period in 6 months

I haven’t had a period in a little over 6 months, I was originally at the beginning of the year on fertility meds and was having a normal period until may, I had one day, light pink spotting and never had a period again. In June I caught Covid and in July when I was finally out of quarantine certain foods tasted funny to me, we thought I was pregnant and took a test and it was negative. I still have cramps once a month and about a month ago it was painful sharp pains around my cervix that will literally bring me to my knees. I do have a dr appointment next week but I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what was the outcome.
