I’ve been dating my bf for almost a year now. he’s always been really nice and respectful. when he comes over, he usually sleeps over. the past two weeks he takes a shower here because we would go out the next day. my mom is now telling me he’s not allowed to take a shower here anymore bc she thinks its the step before him moving in and it’s wasting the water. R U KIDDING ME??? he’s taking a shower to clean himself, he doesn’t wanna move in w y’all?!? I swear she’s making it so difficult for no reason?? and then she gets envious of her friends who have daughter and their boyfriends be so close with the family.... like mom you’re literally turning us away. she doesn’t realize she’s pushing me farther and farther away because she always has some sort of odd issue. like there’s never any valid concerns she has about him, it’s always random weird stuff. but then for my brother, she’s never ever this hard on him and his relationships. my brother girlfriend is crazy controlling and I have never heard this much fighting at him. it’s always me. she gets mad bc she always just hang out in the basement. wtf does she want us to do sit at the table and talk with them all night?? i’m so confused. I feel like she’s pushing me farther and farther away and doesn’t realize it. I understand it’s her house and i’m always respectful of the rules but i’ve never in my life thought she’d be like this.
