TTC prep? (Food/vitamins/product changes) Please share!

I’m super into this topic atm lol. I figured we are all pretty determined and serious about getting preggo and being our best while trying! Please share what you are doing while on your journey!!

Here is mine. Please note I am also trying to drop the last of my weight so this is a little more than I normally would do diet wise:

-good quality prenatals

-my gyno also put me on a high quality dha omegas. She will put me on more vitamins once actually pregnant.

-at least 30 mins on the peloton every day

-eating very clean (and organic) and 90% of meals made at home

* mostly chicken/fish/beans as the protein but red meat 1x a week. I love Banza pasta as the protein when I need a meat break. Pasture Raised Organic eggs are awesome and more nutrient dense than any other egg!

*plenty of veggies (roasted or salads). I load my salads up with so many raw veggies! Also not raw: olives, artichokes, pickled beets etc

*I only use vinegarette or lemon no heavy creamy dressings.

*Whole grain type carbs + cheese I only allow on the weekends at dinner as I am trying to lose some weight.

*incorporated nuts into my diet as snacks or in meals.

*Fruit is usually in smoothies with leafy greens and chia seeds or spirulina.

*watching sodium intake. There is already salt in many items there is no need to ever add more! That said I also really cut down or nearly cut out cold cuts such as salami, procuitto etc. (my favs). I’ll only buy organic nitrate free ham or turkey when I do have cold cuts. I love making sandwiches out of raw red peppers!

- dinner on the weekends is my only “cheat” and still isn’t that bad!

-eating dinner early mon-Thursday and intermittent fasting

-plenty of water every day

-purged all plastic tupperware for glass

-mostly clean beauty products, working on makeup transition

- STILL having my wine but trying to cut down and only have towards the end of the week :)

Everyone is different but these are the things I concentrate on. Its been a gradual change since the start of summer. I’ve lost 15lbs and am really trying to be at an optimal health for pregnancy especially with covid still around. 🙏🏽 I have noticed a change in my energy and mood since making these changes. Im hoping to continue this once pregnant except for the intermittent fasting and sub the bike with simple walks.
