I've been on the pill for a year now and I'm usually very good at taking it at the same time every day. My boyfriend and I have sex all the time and rarely use a condom. Last month I wasn't able to buy my prescription on time and skipped an entire week. As soon as I started taking them again, I had a heavier than usual period, which makes sense. However, this month I took my pills perfectly and am a week late on my period. I took a pregnancy test which thankfully came out negative, and now I'm confused. Not to mention I went to purchase my prescription from December and was told that the doctor needs to prescribe me again before I can get my pills. So naturally, my plan is to use a condom until I've been able to regularly take my pills again for over a month. Besides pregnancy, why else would my period be late?
