How are you getting your LO to sleep?

My LO is getting crazier and harder to put down. Cry it out isn’t working unless we turn the crib around or get a childproof door knob cover for the inside so he can’t get out of the room. We like can’t get him down anymore unless we hold him for hours. He won’t even sleep with us or next to us on the floor in his room. Only sitting in the rocking chair. I’m dying.

Oh hugs this sounds exhausting.
We have a bedtime routine and we place him in his crib shut the door and walk out. He doesn't cry. If he does because he is sick or overly exhausted I will go back in and rock to him and sing to him and put him back down awake.
We haven't transitioned to a bed yet because he can open and unlock all doors. He can crawl down stairs and even open baby gates. He is super smart and has figured out even our dead bolt on our front door. We will be putting an alarm on it shortly. To us it is safest to have him in a crib and he loves his crib as it has always been associated with positivity.

Ugh mine was doing that for a couple weeks, it’s tough. I think it was because he realized he was the only one going to bed at that time so he thought he was missing out on all the fun. I eventually had to let him cry. I don’t let him cry long, only 3 minutes tops. This one can’t open his door yet but I did have the knob covers for my first and when this one gets big enough I’ll have them again. He cries and crawls over to the door (he’s on a mattress on the floor) but usually before the 3 minutes is up he’ll crawl back into bed and lay down quietly.
Not sure what you have in his room, but we have a sound machine and a night light, both of which my baby makes sure to ask me about every single night.
