PCOS - word of encouragement
Hey PCOS sufferers! after over a year of no periods and waiting on hospital referral letters I decided enough was enough and went private to see what the problem was.
The doctor had one look internally and said I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. She suggested I take the pill to give me a “period” and sent me on my way.
I felt so distressed and lost with it all not knowing much information on it so decided I should look into it myself.
I declined her advice for the pill as I believe it has caused the imbalance in my body. I researched and found so much information on diet, if any of you ladies suffer from this I highly recommend looking at your diet first and foremost as it is key in helping your body heal.
I have followed a diet of healthy, wholesome foods which have anti-inflammatory properties. I have taken vitamins daily & myo-inositol powder. I have removed gluten & dairy from my diet and today my period is on day 3! It has come for the first in all that time 🙌
There is light at the end of the tunnel, just keep the faith and be patient with yourself. Your body needs healing 🤍
