Yellow thin discharge??

I might sound stupid sorry lol I will most likely get tested anyway but sometimes around ovulating or my period I get light yellow/clear ish discharge. Could it be my ph is off from sex or infection/std? No burning or itching or anything out of the ordinary but I have a slight smell ever since I started birth control, any ideas?
