Is anyone missing an ovary?

I had gotten an ultrasound and they couldn't find one of my ovaries. I'm 87lbs by the way, so I don't see how it's possible for my ovary to be hiding.

Unless it was removed or you were born without one of them, it was hiding. I technically have two, but my right one is scarred up from a surgery in 2011. A cyst tore off my ovary (didn't rupture. Just completely whole, broke off) caused a massive amount of internal bleeding. Instead of taking it out, they just fused it back together. Endo is a huge concern on that side as well as lack of ovulation from that side. It's my little Nemo ovary.

Your bowel/bowel gas can "hide" your ovaries no matter how much you weigh. Plus maybe the ultrasound technologist just couldn't seem to find it. It's unlikely that you're actually missing an ovary.

I missing a large part of my ovary because I had surgery on it in August to remove a large cyst which had damaged a good chunk of it... But I see it as at least I still have two

I've had 4 internal ultrasounds in the past 3 months at my RE's office,  and not one doctor has been able to find my left ovary. They are not concerned, and I have ovulated from that side previously,  so I'm not super worried either.

Is anyone missing an ovary?
