Anyone else?

Anybody else’s baby show no interest in crawling?? My son is almost 9 months & he shows no interest in crawling. He’ll scoot backwards but that’s about it. I know I shouldn’t compare but I see so many babies crawling already or even standing and walking around holding things and I get sad 😩😞

I felt the same. My boy has been army crawling since 5 months and it was getting me down that he wouldn’t even try get up on his knees. At 8 1/2 months he just woke up one day and started crawling. Don’t stress. Babies will do things when they are ready.

My daughter will be 9 months in a few weeks and she cares nothing about crawling. I’m not worried about it at all. My oldest was crawling at 5 months, walking at 9 months, so this is definitely new territory for me but I honestly don’t mind it lol. My 8 month old will just spin around in circles on her stomach, isn’t really trying to pull herself up, nada. Some babies just skip crawling and go right to walking and it’s totally normal. My nephew never crawled and started walking at 13 months. My best friend’s baby skipped crawling and then all of a sudden at 10 months started pulling himself up and started cruising furniture and walking a month or so later. 
Every baby is so, so different. There really is no right or wrong things they should or shouldn’t be doing at this age. And trust me, things can literally change over night with their development, lol. Don’t worry, mama!! You’re doing a great job and your little babes is perfect!

My son showed no interest in doing anything on his own (rolling, sitting up, etc) but we kinda made him learn cuz we were tired of him being so dependent but being upset about it 🤣 now he’s into everything. It’s a double edged sword lol

My daughter will be 9 months December 6th. She finally crawled a little on thanksgiving. Yesterday and today a little more but she will only do it if there’s a phone or remote in front of her 🤦🏻‍♀️

Mine hasn’t yet! But every baby is different! My first crawled at 5 months and was walking by 10 months. My now 8 month old has zero interest but I know it’ll happen when she’s ready- or she may just skip it all together! Crawling isn’t a milestone so I wouldn’t worry! You’re doing great!

My son can crawl forward, but has a hard time and gets frustrated easily. Just remember most baby milestone timelines don't include crawling since some babies skip it!

Gosh I could get a lot more done if mine didn't crawl and pull himself up already. He's my 2nd and thinks he should be able to do everything his 4yo big bro can do.  Maybe look at it from a different angle and be happy you have a little more time to be able to leave them in one place for more than 30 seconds. They'll be crawling before you know it!

Crawling isn’t a milestone, don’t worry too much. Keep baby free of baby holders as much as possible with lots of floor time. Unless your dr is concerned and there could be some underlaying issue, likely they will crawl soon or skip crawling. My first did. Never had been an issue. She rolled around until she furniture crawled and the walked at 12m
