Can you use a baby name a casual friend used?

I have a friend from college that has a daughter whose name I’ve always really like. I’m Facebook friends with her but really haven’t seen her more than 5 times in 10 years. Is it considered “stealing her baby name?” If it matters her daughter is 6

One of my friends from high school and I have sons with the same name and they’re only a few months apart. In my defense, I didn’t know that she had named her son that until after our son was born and I was like “whoops! Guess it’ll just be a funny coincidence!” 
She never seemed to be annoyed or upset by it though. She just had her daughter a month ago (our daughters will be the same age gap as our sons) and I waited to see what they named her before my husband and I decided on a name for ours just in case 😂

If it’s a really unique name, and you’re worried about how your friend may feel, I’d reach out and let her know that you love it and are considering naming your daughter that. But she doesn’t own the name, you can name your daughter whatever you want!
