Cake ideas

Hi everyone, this isn’t exactly crafting-related but I figured you creative folks might be able to help me. One of my coworkers is retiring next Monday and we’re getting her a cake, but I need help figuring out what to write on it. Here’s the problem: she is retiring early due to a terminal cancer diagnosis. She loves her job and would not otherwise be retiring yet. She basically wants to spend what time she has left with her family and also working has become too much for her. It is absolutely a horrible situation.

So, obviously, we can’t go with anything related to “congratulations!” We can’t say “we’ll miss you!” because it just seems too dark considering her prognosis. I am completely stuck and I’m not that creative. Someone at work suggested “we love you” but that will make her even more emotional. We picked a really funny image for the cake that has to do with a long-running inside joke (it’s beach themed but has an extra inside joke element thrown in), so the image on the cake will be light hearted and will make her laugh - we want to keep that vibe.

Any ideas?? Again I know it’s a very weird request but I’m seriously looking for at any suggestions I can get right now!
