Need factual advice
My family will be hiring an attorney, BUT in the state of Indiana, if the father willingly signs papers to sign off his rights, will Indiana grant that? I’m not married, never have been, and I have an entire support system who can back me up with him not being involved and not caring about both children at all. Not asking to see them, not offering help, not paying support (which I know will end, I don’t care I’m not getting anything anyway), he’s shown previous harassment and nonstop blowing my phone up multiple times in the past, so he’s blocked on everything you could think of. I tried to ask for a restraining order at the police station back in 2018 or 19, and they told me they couldn’t help me even with screenshots of proof. I’m just so done and want this to be over. The kids are 2 and 3 and both know someone else as daddy, that’s how much they don’t know him and he doesn’t care to know them. Posting anonymously because I’ve seen some women get pretty nasty toward people on here when it comes to cutting the biological father out of the kids lives (not like he was ever really there enough to begin with)
