Faint Yolk Sac?

Thought I was 6w2d at the time based on LMP but the U/S tech said she saw an empty gestational sac. Do you see a faint yolk sac? Dr. seemed unphased and said come back in 2 weeks and we’ll see more, this looks like a very healthy start to an early intrauterine pregnancy.
I’ve been a nervous wreck. I’m almost worried to even get excited about my pregnancy because I am 100% positive of my dates-last mp, ovulation and everything-I track it with an app.
Do you see a faint yolk sac trace that the tech missed? Can you look at the gestational sac and tell it’s measurement? She didn’t tell me what the sac measured.
I go in for a follow up on Tuesday; it will be 3 weeks since this first early scan.

Apps are very often wrong. They base your dates on averages. Unless you’re using OPKs AND tracking temps, or doing medically assisted fertility treatment, you don’t know when you ovulated even if you’re punching dates in to an app
With that being said there isn’t much to see that early and I’m surprised they would give you a scan that early. I do think i see a teeny yolk sac on the bottom/left side. This is my first ultrasound at 6+2 and my yolk sac was also teeny and hiding. (And i am 100% sure on dates because we did a trigger shot and IUI with multiple ultrasounds and bloodwork to confirm O) I’d say your scan looks pretty similar to mine and that you’re just really really early!

UPDATE: Had my Follow-Up Scan today. Baby measured only 5w5d, gestational sac measured 6w2d and based on LMP I should be at 9w3d. No detectable heartbeat. Diagnosed missed miscarriage. Prescribed Cytotec (spelling?). Will take Friday after work so all contents will be passed by Monday before work.

You can’t ever been 100% sure of ovulation based on an apps algorithm. You need to be using OPKs & temping to be that sure.

You could be very early. Your apps on your phone are never 100% correct.

I ovulated earlier than I thought. I had my first US and doctor said I was measuring farther along by a few days. You really just don’t know.

Unless you confirmed ovulation with an ion to narrow the window then you really don’t is when you ovulated. This app says I ovulate on day 14 I ovulate on day 10.

Same thing happen to me yesterday at my first ultrasound. I’m suppose to be 10 weeks and 4 days but I was only measuring at 5 weeks 4 days and they found 2 sacs, seems the babies stop growing at the 5w4D mark, I am so devastated but I plan to try again shortly after this is over.

This was my ultrasound today at 6w1d. My dates were off too based off the app. Not much too see this early but saw the yolk sack and the heartbeat.
