Gallstones?
Since I found out I was pregnant with my daughter (she’s 7weeks), I've been having these episodes that my OB said was just bad indigestion that can sometimes be painful and brushed it off. I get severe pain in my upper back and chest/upper abdomen, it feels like I’m having a heart attack. It's so bad I have to do breathing exercises to make myself breathe because I just want to hold my breath. I’ve gone through 36 hours of labor and was still able to talk through the worst contractions. So the fact I can’t talk means a lot for my high pain tolerance. I was taking omeparzole for the “indigestion” and I'm not pregnant anymore it doesn't seem to be helping at all. I had another episode on Sunday that lasted over 3 hours, longer then the usual 1-1.5 hours. The pain was so bad I threw up four times until there was nothing in my stomach and I finally fell asleep when I just couldn’t take the pain anymore.
I did a tele-appointment with my primary yesterday and he said it not indigestion and sounds like biliary colic from gallstones. He said that pregnancy can exacerbate things like gallstones. So I’m going for an ultrasound on Monday to see.
I don’t ever want to hope for something to be wrong but I just want answers for this pain. Has anyone experienced gallbladder issues or gallstones?
