Anterior placenta birth risks?

Question

Okay, dr google got me again. I know people say it’s common to have an anterior placenta but I just started reading a bunch of concerning things about it and how it can effect birth and stuff and now I’m freaked out lol. Did anyone here have an anterior placenta and had a natural birth? I’d also love to hear stories about c/section births with anterior placentas too. This is probably a stupid thing to ask but I had no idea that this could have any risk factors.

I had an anterior placenta with my first and now the same with my second. Had to have a c-section with first due to baby not lying correct. But everything went well and healed up very nicely. My twin sister also has 2 daughters and had anterior placenta with both. In both cases she had a c-section and everything went very well! Don't think it's something you should worry about unless Dr says anything.

I had an anterior placenta for my first pregnancy. My dr said the only time it’s really worrisome is during a c-section so you’ll be fine! I ended up requiring an emergency c-section after my baby got stuck (totally unrelated to my placenta), and it wasn’t an issue for my c-section either because my dr knew about it before she started cutting so she took extra precaution. Not a big deal. After you have a c section it can be concerning to have an anterior placenta for subsequent pregnancies if the placenta happens to grow on top of your old scar tissue, but usually they can still manage that as well. Modern medicine is pretty amazing these days.

I had an anterior placenta with my daughter. Birthed her standing with no meds. I had not issues with my labor and birth.

I had natural birth and anterior with my 6 and half year old he was completely healthy and if anything he did more sooner than this baby did lol I have a posterior placenta this time I felt baby much later! I felt my first at 17 weeks and this 1 at 20 weeks so doesnt even effect movements seems like an old wives tale, I preferred it been anterior lol 😆

I had it with my second (not sure about this one yet as don’t tend to check until 20 weeks in the uk).
I had a fabulous water birth with my second.  No issues at all caused by the position of the placenta.

I had anterior placenta with my first baby and had a natural labour without epidural and it went great. I did feel my contractions more in my back but don’t know if that’s related at all. I think it’s more cause for concern if you have a low lying placenta x

I had an anterior placenta with my daughter. Delivery went great... but I had to have a d&c for retained placenta 11weeks later. I doubt that that is related at all though!
