Curious about how that went during labor? Please let me know how Covid affected your birth

We don't need to wear a mask as long as we remain in our room. This depends on your hospitals policies. I would contact them and see :)

My husband had to wear a mask while anyone other than me was in the room. They tested me and I came back negative so they said I didn’t have to labor or deliver in a mask but once baby was born and we settled into a recovery room I had to while others were in the room. 
They didn’t get bent out of shape if we didn’t though... there were times where they came in unexpectedly and I didn’t have my mask close by.

Haven’t delivered yet but my hospitals policy is to covid test on admission. They have a rapid test which results in like 15-30 min so have to wear a mask until that comes back and if negative can have mask off in room.

i go get tested tomorrow and assuming it’s negative, i don’t have to wear a mask once i’m in the room but my boyfriend will have to when any medical personnel are in the room!

I had to wear a mask when checking in but once I got to my room I was informed I could take off my mask . She also said just pull it up when my OB comes in but I had to be put on oxygen so I couldn’t wear the mask .

I had my son on 10/12. I did not have to get tested for COViD but I was screened before I went in to be induced. My husband and I only had to wear a mask in the halls but not in the delivery or post natal room. I could only have one support person with me the entire time. My support person was allowed to leave and come back but wasn’t allowed to let anyone else switch spots with him. That meant my husband could go to the parking garage at the hospital to pick up food from my in laws for us and bring it back up to our room which was super nice. We were not allowed any visitors at all while at the hospital.

I had one nurse when we first arrived that enforced the mask policy but after her none of the other nurses said anything until it was time for us to leave. I was also tested but my husband wasn’t. As far as visitors went I was only allowed one visitor a day so basically it was just my husband and I the whole time and he wasn’t allowed to leave, if he did then he couldn’t come back until the next day.

Had my daughter on 29th October. I didnt have to wear a mask at all, as all midwives etc were all in full ppe. I was allowed 2 birth partners, they had to wear masks while in the hospital. I had a covid test, but never got my results. My birth partners were allowed to stay until I was transferred to post natal ward

No masks for us. They did covid test me and not my husband, weird. The  bc week after in NICU No family was aloud. Also only my husband and mom could see me
