I wear extra thick pads. So far I’m not much of a bleeder. So I just wear my regular underwear once I leave the hospital with a giant pad & so on.

I hated the depends. Never again... I used the mesh underwear with the big pads at the hospital then switched to regular cotton high waist/brief underwear and the regular pads!

I got 1 mesh undies from the birth center and I had a sample of the Fridamom disposable stretchy boyshort undies and they were SO much more comfortable than the ones you get from the hospital/BC! And honestly I wore one pair of each until a pad leaked blood and got them dirty. You don’t need to change the disposable panty every single time you go to the bathroom, unless it has blood on it. I just changed my pad. I was able to make one pair last 2-3 days

I found some super soft stretchy cheap underwear at Walmart. I only used disposables for 2 or 3 days.

Anything black, comfy, and with a wide enough base to hold a large pad. The stretchy material is easiest to wash. I bought multiple thicknesses of incontinence and menstrual pads to go with them for the varying “flows.”
