Pill effectiveness??

So I just started the pill (tri cyclen) and on the leaflet and the website it says that it is effective after 7 days of use but lots of other places online etc say that the pill is only effective after a month?? who do I believe?

Depends on the pill. There are lots of different types out there - mini pill, combined, progestin only etc

Read your pamphlet if it says 7 days (8 pills) then you are fully protected at 7 days. There is no reason to wait a month if you're protected in 7 days! Just take your pills on time, everyday, and you'll be 99.7% protected. Just make sure to read your pamphlet, it wouldn't give you false information!
