Current partner-husband. Was 3 Julys ago and I was 3 or 4 months pregnant and the bio dad had just randomly left me. We were alone at my beach house and we were watching a movie and he didn't make a move the whole time (he told me later that he wanted to be a gentleman and wanted me to initiate things) so I came on to him and we got undressed. I guess mine is less like the movies and a lot more realistic. My guy and I have been together about 6 months now, and the sex has definitely evolved from terrible to great, and it keeps getting better! We had been seeing each other for about 3 weeks when we first tried to do the deed. He had only had sex a handful (or less) of times before, and I had only had penetrative sex with my ex (who I dated for over 3 years). Additionally, we both harbor insecurities about our bodies; I am a plus-sized woman and he lost about 180 pounds over the past 4 years or so, which left him with some loose skin. We fumbled with the condom a lot--he is uncircumcised and it took some practice to figure out how to wear a condom comfortably. He was very nervous, which caused a few issues with maintaining an erection, and I got an awful cramp in my thigh just a few minutes in. It was the definition of terrible, awkward sex, but I knew it was worth continuing to try with him because we were both able to laugh about it afterwards! I'm so glad we kept seeing each other. We fell in love and we both appreciate every bit of the other's body. While I still may be learning to love myself, having a sweet, sensitive man who shows me how much he loves me every day has made it that much easier.
