UK ONLY secondary infertility

Hi me an my partner have been trying to concieve number 2 for 18 months now. Ive had 2 miscarriages this year and they wont investigate unless ive had a third. My mental health right now is not taking it well. Im not sure whether to ask the doctors to help. Does anyone have any experience in the uk with a similar story?
