Should I test?
So obviously, I have PCOS. My doctor put me on birth control pills about 4 years ago to help regulate my periods and I just came off them in March after getting married. The first 4-5 months, my periods came like clockwork, down to the hour. The last two times, it's been a little late. This month, it hasn't shown up AT ALL. Even the couple times I was late, it was only by a few days and I still had PMS (swollen breasts, cramps, etc.) so I knew it was coming. This month I'm not only almost two week late, but I don't feel any symptoms of AF coming whatsoever. I don't know if it's just my PCOS wreaking havoc or if I should take a test.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Was it just your hormones being wonky or were you pregnant? I keep telling my husband I'd feel better if we tested just to be sure, but he insists we don't need to worry about it.
(I know the obvious answer to this question is to just take a test, I'm just looking for a little reassurance/empathy from others who struggle with the hell and confusion that is irregular periods haha.)
