Xanax & FALSE BFP?!?!

Question

I’ve just recently been prescribed xanax 1 mg 3 times a day. Though I usually take 1 a day. I just started getting faint positives on Thursday. The lines have gotten darker. But im just wondering if any of you ladies on here are prescribed the same medication and went through the same thing ?

Xanax does not cause a false positive or affect a pregnancy test at all.
You’re pregnant.
Call your doctor ASAP as Xanax is not safe to take during pregnancy.

I looked it up and xanax can most definitely cause a false positive on a pregnancy test. But you shouldn’t just assume that it’s not ACTUALLY positive. You should go to the doctor to be sure.

I take anxiety medication and have never heard of or experienced this, so congratulations! 
Also depending on how long you have been taking Xanax it is not safe to just stop taking immediately, you are better to go to your doctor and they can lower dosage or switch medications. Your health is priority 😊
