Another cycle , another period! 🥺 any IVF newbies?? Need all the info i could get

Af came today 😔🥺 this was pretty much our last attempt at conceiving naturally before moving on to <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a>. We decided mid this year if it wouldn’t happen by the end of the year, early next year we would move forward with <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a>.

We have one cycle left but no good chances since husband won’t be home until Christmas time, that means no BD on the “ good days “ as we call it.

Im pretty upset but I know our time will come eventually, and we just have to be patient while we wait on Gods timing.

So im not an expert on <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a>. Im trying my best to understand the whole process etc.

Feel free to tell me all about your experience with <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a>, i need all the help i can get.

Also, we chose a fertility specialist already, we live with boarder to Mexico so will be going to a Dr. right across the boarder which is about 20 mins away from where we live. We have many many family and friends that have had success stories with this Dr. and is also not even half of what the cost would be here in the U.S ( our medical insurance does not cover ANYTHING )

Also you don’t have to go straight to IVF. It depends on your own fertility work up but there are ovulation induction drugs you can try which mean just taking a pill for a few days to induce ovulation and sometimes produce more than 1 egg to increase changes, or there’s IUI. We took an ovulation induction drug (letrozole) and it’s worked 4th time round for us and we were unexplained. Our fertility work up also showed up x2 blood gene mutations for us so I was put on aspirin and had to take folenic acid and this may also have helped. So all that to say, doesn’t have to be straight to IVF, next steps would be to explore whether there is something preventing pregnancy which could be remedied.

I'm so sorry you will be needing IVF, it's a lot for the body and it's a lot of emotions. I highly recommend finding some good and supportive IVF accounts to follow on Instagram to get a tribe of support going around you. 
The medications you'll take will really depend on your diagnosis, age, and history. They protocols vary greatly for each woman. But usually you'll inject meds to help grow lots of eggs, then you'll have an egg retrieval (surgery with anesthesia) and the clinic will help your eggs fertilize and grow to day 3 or day 5. After that you will either do a fresh transfer, or you will freeze them to transfer the next cycle. I've done both a fresh and frozen transfer and the womans experience is the same, just depends on if you want a break from meds to recover from growing so many eggs or if you will test your embryos before transferring them back in. 
My clinic has a private facebook group for current and past patients and it's extremely helpful to be able to ask questions to those with the same doctors or in the same area, definitely look into that. I also find it helpful to get on forums like this one or the what to expect when you're expecting website because support is so so so important.
