So youtube for some reason recommended a documentary about the rescue efforts after 9/11 and I want to put a trigger warning because I mean. This is an awful question and I’m hoping someone can help me make sense of this because I just can’t wrap my mind around how it’s physically possible but maybe it is and someone who’s more educated than me can.. tell me if I’m right.

Again trigger warning. What I’m talking about here is horrific and gory. Beware

So they barely found bodies, I mean they found body parts and they even showed some of the parts they found in the documentary which is shocking but I mean I think it was important to show it, because it really put things into perspective. but even then it wasn’t like.. all the body parts they found did not account for the 3,000 people lost. There’s still people that vanished with no remains.

I’m just thinking.. they were pulverized into dust by the buildings falling and I know we are made of blood and flesh and that had to go somewhere right but I think it (the blood and flesh or what was left of it) was mixed in with the pulverized concrete and dust and steal and maybe even floating around in the air. A lot of people burned, and could have been essentially cremated before the buildings fell or even afterwards before anyone could find their remains.

This is plausible right? I’m sorry but I was a baby when this happened so I’m learning all of the gruesome details of course. It’s not something people want to think or talk about but I’m genuinely curious if what I have concluded is actually possible.

I think it’s a given that the passengers in the plane could never be found because they essentially.. they flew through an entire building and that itself disintegrated the plane.

There’s also the people who fell to the ground from jumping/ falling/ and possibly being pushed out and they fell hundreds of feet and well.. they splattered. Gravity and concrete.. the body parts they did find in the rubble could have already been there before the towers fell and it was just from the people who fell out of the building before it collapsed.

My main question is: do you think the people who vanished were pulverized to dust?

Edit: something I learned from this documentary that brings me a lot of comfort. The majority of bodies found showed signs of a quick death meaning that they died instantly, too fast for their brains to even register the injuries their bodies had endured and that brings me quite a lot of comfort. It hurts me to think about so many people suffering but this brought me some peace about it.
