What age should I stop playing lullaby music for sleeping?

Hi! Im having hard time finding an article on this. My 15 month old since birth has slept with his Hatch music machine playing lullaby music (not white noise). At what age should I stop this? I don't want him to get SO used to it where he HAS to have the music.

Is there a particular reason why you want to stop? I don’t see the issue with him getting used to it and needing it to sleep. Loads of people need certain things in order to sleep and there’s nothing wrong with that.

If it works I say go as long as possible! My husband still needs background noise to sleep, so we always have the tv on in our bedroom at night. And I’m the type that needs complete pitch black to sleep thru the night, even a curtain moved to allow a slit of light in (from the street light) wakes me up. If adults can use their crutches to sleep, I say let the kids have em! 😝

I wouldnt stress over it. You could switch to just a sound machine.

I still need noise to sleep and I’m 26!! Lol I wouldn’t worry about it. If it concerns you too much maybe try a white noise machine instead?

I wouldn’t stop if it works. Plenty of adults use white noise or music to sleep, it’s very common.

I dont think theres a specific age but you could faze it out if you dont want him to need it! Kiddos can be super resilient. We just stopped using white noise with our LO when he was 2 and it didnt bother him at all. Books about transitions have been super helpful for us when we stopped his pacifier and moved him to a big boy bed too!

Some people just need the noise. Until smartphones were invented, I was a huge insomniac. Like between the ages of 8 and 22, I barely slept more than 5 hours a night because I couldn’t ever get to sleep. 
Netflix on an iPhone was a godsend! Since then, I fall asleep within 20-45. minutes. No, it’s not ideal, but you know what else wasn’t ideal? Never sleeping! If your baby continues to need lullabies or a white noise machine, it will be okay.

White noise for life!!! We use the TV sound and our sleep constant says to keep it up until they no longer want it. 
Not sure about lullaby music but I used to sleep with the radio on as a kid in like 3-5th grade

When they don’t want it anymore. My 4.5 year old just told me she’d rather sleep without white noise and so we turned it off

My kids are 10,8,6,4&2 and they all wind down with music
